Why Americans Will Never Understand Politics

Today I entered the publication lab of my school asked to participate in a mock poll. I of course took this time to do what most other teenagers do and made jokes about how pointless this is and immediately started telling kids to vote for Obama when the the teacher said to keep your loyalties to yourself. However, once it was my turn to go on the computer and vote, I was really perplexed. They asked me tons of information (which they will most likely use to spam me) which lead me to believe this poll was a serious take on how teens feel about the election and who they support the most. After I finished filling out the cascade of information I was prompted to a poll of which issue I felt was the most important throughout the election. I picked the economy and proceeded to watch my mac take a few seconds to send me to the next page. What I saw was another poll asking me to vote for either Obama or McCain.
Now you might be saying at this moment OK what's wrong with that scenario, but there is a giant issue. Where is Ralph Nader on that ballot? Where is there an other option on that ballot? How can you say your having a mock election if you won't even put all the candidates who are voting? Now yes I know that Ralph Nader has little chance of winning, but he is still running and what kind of realism is this website showing by only allowing teen voters to vote for either Obama or McCain.
Basically when they only gave us those two choices they said," Since Obama and McCain are the republican and the democrat they are the only important candidates in this election." Well guess what Channel One(the website that the mock election was on), at least 11 percent of Americans believe that Nader is an important candidate and the poll you gave us was a slap in the face for everyone American who takes their future seriously.
If anyone bothers to read this tell me what you think!
