The Anti-War book
The purpose of slaughterhouse-five was it served as a meduim to show the horror of war. It goes on over and over to show the sensless brutality of war. It overviews a soldier and how things went from capture to camp to post war life. It constantly interchanges from the past and present to show the prolong effect of war. The focus on the bombing of dresden was actually one of those things that truthfully surprised me. It is a point in time in ww2 which fails to really reach the history books. The use of a story as a medium is another interesting thing i noticed. Over the course of history several writers have used stories to drill thier message into people subtleley.
