Catch-22

I finished the book Catch-22 with a feeling of relief and sadness. In the end catch-22 feels like it gave you all the answers, but it didn't. Much like 1984 and Slaughterhouse-five the protagonist loses or at least doesn't receive the victory you were hoping for. Is this another anti war book? Yes. Is it the same as slaughterhouse-five? No. Truthfully the message I received from this book is that we are all crazy. And if we were extremely sane then we would be even more crazy. Yosarrian the protagonist of the book ends up having to decide between endorsing the generals he hated and going to jail for crimes he did not commit. In the end he decided to run, he decided to run and noticed that his comrade Orr had this idea of running long before he did. But I still need to think more about this there is a lot about catch-22 I still don't understand and I need time to reflect on it.
